Alternative UTON Handles
Handles from aluminium, bronze, G10, wood, buffalo horn and other materials were made by passionate knife enthusiast and modifier Karel Šusta. He had the handle of an original military UTON 3D-scanned and then had these beautiful handles CNC-milled according to that model.
The handle has a hole at the back for accessories and both the file and saw can be inserted. For scale — the knife with a bronze handle weighs 556 grams; bronze is an extremely heavy choice in this case.
Another advantage of these handles is that you can then use a Kydex sheath on the knife without wearing the handle, as happens when you try it with the rubber handle which rubs away.
