Czech Police Knives

The Czech Police and its special units have used a range of specialized combat knives since the 1990s, significantly different from standard army equipment. While ACR knives are primarily oriented toward field combat use, Czech Police knives combine tactical properties with requirements for rapid deployment in civilian environments.

The core of the armament lies with special units — primarily URNA (Rapid Response Unit) and intervention units in České Budějovice and Brno. Each unit gradually developed its own specific knives suited to the nature of their operations.

As with ACR knives, most designs were created by Maj. Ing. Roman Hippík in cooperation with Brno knifemaker Lubomír Maďarič, who produced the knives until 2020. Sheaths were made by Brno saddler Petr Hess. Models such as Head Hunter, TIGER and Dragon are now highly sought after among collectors — some were produced in limited series and are virtually absent from the open market.
