TIGER – Dukovany Intervention Unit
The knife named Tiger is a combat knife designed specifically for police officers serving in the Dukovany intervention unit, who are primarily responsible for the security of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant.
The knife with an overall length of 275 mm is structurally designed as a combat knife equipped with a single-sided guard. The 5 mm thick blade is fitted with a serrated edge 30 mm in length. The serrated edge is intended to overcome obstacles requiring higher cutting pressure (rope, fine wire, nylon ties). On the upper side of the blade there is a roughened surface serving as a thumb rest.
The anatomical handle is made from black-stained walnut wood with a dovetail carving. At the end of the handle is a window-breaking tip with an obtuse angle and a hole for a lanyard. On the left side of the blade, the unit emblem is placed in the middle, and near the guard is the logo of the manufacturer Mr. Lubomír Maďarič from Brno.
