On the lower edge of the blade is a serrated section for cutting ropes and cords. Between the blade and the handle is a single-sided steel guard. The handle is made from leather rings tightened by a threaded pommel cap. The steel pommel cap has a hole of 4 mm diameter for a lanyard.
