Musado – Knife for Close-Combat Instructors
In 2008, a group of leading close-combat instructors of the Czech Army created the knife design. Production was commissioned from Mikov of Mikulášovice and sheaths from REDO of Prostějov. After three prototypes, sample MIK 1 was selected. The knife became a symbol of the twentieth anniversary of the MUSADO–MCS system.
The knife is produced in two variants: Variant No. 1 (lead close-combat instructors of the Czech Army and Czech Police) has a double edge with a central ridge. Variant No. 2 (1st and 2nd degree close-combat instructors) differs in having a flat at the middle of the blade. The instructors fund the knives themselves.
