Styx – ACR Engineer Units Knife
The history of the STYX knife dates back to 2002, when it was designed by 2nd Lt. Roman Hippík for members of the 601st Special Forces Group. In 2005, a smaller version called MP – Military Police was created for the ACR Military Police. Until 2019, the knives were produced by knifemaker Lubomír Maďarič and leather sheaths by saddler Petr Hess.
In 2023, another modification was created for members of the 152nd Engineer Battalion Bechyně. On the left side of the blade, in addition to the unit insignia, is the Latin inscription SEMPER EST VIA — the battalion motto "There is always a way". The knife is now produced by Mikov and kydex sheaths are made by knifemaker Jindřich Kutil.
