Gryphon
The Gryphon knife is intended for members of the 41st Mechanized Battalion in Žatec. It is a combination of a combat and multi-purpose knife. Gryphon is made from spring steel 14260. The handle is made from leather rings compressed by a threaded pommel cap. On the left side of the blade is the insignia and the inscription "March or die". On the right side are the logos of the designer and manufacturer. The design was created by Ing. Roman Hippík, the manufacturer is Lubomír Maďarič of Brno.
The photographs below also show a variant of the Gryphon knife for snipers from 2018 with a crosshair on the right side of the blade. The photograph was taken in Mali.
In 2024, the first series of Gryphon knives was also produced by Mikov, which replaced Mr. Maďarič after 2020. The blade material is N690 steel.
