Nespresso Rybička
In 2018 Nespresso, in collaboration with Mikov, released a limited edition of the Rybička pocket knife. The collector's collection was designed to show that aluminium capsules need not be single-use — they can be recycled and used again. The design is by Michal Froněk of the Olgoj Chorchoj studio.
The knife's handle scales are made from 100% recyclable Nespresso capsules — 35 capsules go into each knife. The surface of the scales is polished to a high shine. The most distinctive feature of the knife is the golden loop.
The Rybička was priced at 500 CZK and proceeds went to the Tereza Maxová Foundation to help children. 1,300 pieces were produced, of which 1,000 went to stores in Brno and Prague. The Rybička was hard to come by and was available only at Nespresso stores from 25 October 2018 until quickly selling out.
