REPETITOR 2022

REPETITOR is the third knife in the War Veteran project. The knife commemorates the participation of Czech soldiers in the Balkans in missions UNPROFOR, UNCRO, IFOR, and SFOR from 1992. At the suggestion of Chief of Staff Aleš Opata, it takes the name of checkpoint T 23 – Repetitor, where in August 1995, during UNPROFOR duties, two Czech soldiers fell — Luděk Zeman and Petr Valeš.

The knife was designed by Major Roman Hippík and is inspired by the vz.58 bayonet design. The blade has a central point, a main lower edge, a false upper edge, and a lightening groove on each side. The knife is made from N690 steel with a Cerakote cobalt surface finish. The handle uses scales made from red micarta. The pommel has a 4 mm hole for a safety lanyard; the scales are fastened with two M4 socket-head screws.

The textile sheath is made from laminated Cordura — very light and durable. Inside is a plastic insert that locks the knife in place. The design allows attachment to a belt or to MOLLE webbing. On the front of the sheath is the insignia used in Balkan missions on all equipment. Each knife is laser-engraved with the designer's mark, maker's mark, serial number, and year of production.

The knife was unveiled in May 2022 and costs 5,830 CZK, of which 300 CZK goes to the Military Solidarity Fund.

The knife was unveiled in August 2025 and only 100 pieces were produced for the 30th anniversary. The knife cost 8,900 CZK, of which 1,000 CZK went to the Military Solidarity Fund. The handle was made from blue G10 deliberately, to reference the blue UN beret.

On the left side of the blade is the inscription TANGO 23 – REPETITOR and near the ricasso is an insignia reading WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER and below it 30 YEARS. On the right side of the blade are the insignia of maker Mikov and knife designer Major Roman Hippík. Near the ricasso is the serial format T30-000-25 — T30 denotes the production series, 000 is the knife's sequential number, and 25 is the production year 2025.
