The M 1917 knife was produced to mark the 215th anniversary of the founding of the company and first presented to the public at a knife exhibition on 28 November 2009 in Brno. It is essentially the first serially produced knife on our territory — and thus the predecessor of today's assault knives. The knife is a truly faithful replica of the Austro-Hungarian assault knife with which soldiers fought on the fronts of the First World War.
The complete collector's set consists of a padded wooden box and an accompanying publication. The publication briefly describes the company's history from its founding to the present, with the main focus dedicated to the assault knife. You will find closely photographed maker's marks, acceptance stamps, and sheaths.
Among the interesting facts: the knife, sheath, and publication always share the same serial number, and only 99 pieces were produced. The numbering format 16-99-09 means: 16 – knife serial number, 99 – series of 99 pieces, 09 – production year 2009.
