NUZ 130-DI-1 (750/1000)

The Investment Rybička is the most expensive knife produced by Mikov. This luxury piece has handle scales stamped from solid 18-carat gold 750/1000, and the tail end is hallmarked 6 times. Instead of a rivet, the loop holds a Czech garnet (pyrope) in red with a round star cut. Both the blade and the spine spring are made from Damascus steel PMC27. The left side of the blade bears the maker's logo and the right side a unique serial number, which is also stamped on the inside of both gold scales.

The knife is delivered in a luxury wooden gift box shaped like the Czech Republic, made from fine timber. Inside is a lining in the colours of the Czech flag, shaped precisely to the Rybička. The box has two hinges on the top and two magnets for closing on the bottom.

The Investment Rybička has been in production since 2010. The first two pieces sold immediately for 168,000 CZK each. In 2014 the price was 169,400 CZK (6 pieces sold in total); by 2017 it had reached 191,000 CZK (13 pieces). The current price as of 2021 is 219,440 CZK and the latest piece bears number 21. On average only about 2 pieces are sold per year.

Interesting is the total weight of gold used for the scales — piece no. 13 contained 59.89 g and piece no. 20 contained 62.21 g. The average is therefore approximately 60 grams of gold per Rybička.

The Investment Rybička is subject to a special regime — no discounts apply, not even for dealers. The sale is governed by legislation on the sale of precious metals and the rules of assay offices. The knife is assembled to order — individual "vault" components are held in stock, and upon ordering the assembly process begins, including jeweller's weighing and issuance of a production certificate. Each knife comes with two certificates — one from Mikov and one from the jewellery firm 3D STYL, which supplies the gold and sets the garnet.
